Our Story

After years in the hustle of city life, Joshua and Ashley felt the pull of their western roots and transformed a dream into reality at Rebel Ranch. Nestled on 80 acres bordering Medicine Bow National Forest, they created a haven where the wind through aspen leaves lulls you to sleep, wood fires warm your evenings, and nature’s crisp air surrounds you. As your hosts, they invite you to step back in time, forge your own memories, and embrace the wild, rebellious spirit of ranch life in this serene wilderness retreat.

Explore the Medicine Bow Rail Trail, just 1 mile south of Rebel Ranch, offering a 21-mile hard-packed gravel path from Pelton Creek Trailhead to Dry Park Trailhead (plus a 1-mile detour at Fox Park). This gentle, 10-foot-wide trail with mild grades and curves is perfect for mountain, fat tire & gravel bikes—road bikes not recommended. Meander through Medicine Bow National Forest, spotting wildlife like moose, black bears, and bighorn sheep. Access six trailheads, including Lake Owen and Pelton Creek with campgrounds, for endless hiking, biking, or sightseeing. Suitable for all skill levels, it’s a historic gem once part of the Hahn’s Peak and Pacific Railroad.

Getting to Rebel Ranch

Rebel Ranch is located approximately 28 miles or half an hour from Laramie Regional Airport and is accessible via highways 130 and 11. Click here for directions from Laramie Regional Airport.
